Following my own advice, I put the 35-1 shot Flying Lucia with Josh Kash in the bike as the key in a $1 trifecta (6/12345/12345) in the sixth race Friday night for a total of $20. The payoff was $1308. Not a bad return at all.

Nice.I agree.Keith gets on these mini rolls every now and then,and he is on one now.I wish i would have talked to you b4 that race,i'd have hit that dam pick 3...I looked at his horse hard,but couldn,t pull the trigger. The driver colony is as bad as it's ever been.With guys going down to Scioto to drive,there's not a lot left....

In truth, it was a "throwaway" bet. Based on the program, the #4 (What A Rose) should have won that race by open lengths. But this is Northfield Park and this is 2012, so anything can happen.
