You pic4 players looking to grab a piece of the carry over tonight may want to include #3 Blast To The Past in your wheels. The horse was claimed out of the 4's last week and moved to the 6's. The horse moves inside and picks up top driver Tony Hall for the race tonight. The question in most bettors minds will be, "can he compete at this level?" My money will say yes.
Last week the horse raced about as well as we could have expected in his first start on a half mile track from the dreaded 8 hole. He three wide most of the final quarter and didn't give ground. In his final start at Indy he was favored from the 8 in a race that was won by Cabana Kid who had the rail. We all saw Cabana Kid make the successful move to the 6's last week. Adding to my confidence is the fact that Blast has seven wins in 30 starts, tops (percentage wise) of anyone in the race, and has made more money per start than any of tonight's contenders.
Tonight's 10th will be a very competitive affair. The money will be spread around among the inside horses. I can't imagine the 6-1 morning line will hold, but if it should, he would be the obvious play to win. In any event don't let Blast blow up your pic4 ticket.
