Believer- I feel very fortunate to still own this horse-
His dam is Water Well who has produced some very decent racehorses one being Gehrig (a gelding) who has made over 800,000 in his career, She also had several good mares two who have produced some good horses themselves. He was purchased as a yearling for $75,000 and staked quite heavily in New York- they gave up on him last year and I purchased him at the Tattersales last January for $8500 - by July I also had figured I spent enough on this horse and tried to sell- but had absolutely no takers- and was approached on a lease deal. I was opposed to leases but there was no way I was spending another dollar on this horse. I am glad it happened that way and I recently extended the lease after seeing this horse and how much his attitude has changed- he has grown up and he thinks he is a race horse.
