Second Test Comes Back Positive for Burke

Mickey Burke requested a split-sample test after his horse, Doggone Incredible, tested positive for Lidocaine, and the second test by an independent lab has produced another positive.
Burke received the original positive test for the Class 2 drug after Doggone Incredible was tested following a race on Dec. 9 at the Meadowlands.
Today, harnessracing.com reports that the split-sample test requested by Burke also came back positive.
According to the New Jersey Racing Commission, the normal regulatory process for a positive test will now get underway.
