Northfield is now racing(mainly) 8 horse fields...Monday Feb 12 has only 12 races carded....? Keith...why the shortage.?.....the handle will be down a fair bit ,due to these changes , i would imagine!

Now that Lebanon is open, I would suspect all of the Lebanon horses will be shipping back down there and maybe some of the Indy horses too (the ones that are normally trained and stabled in the Lebanon area). Combine this with Northfield racing five nights a week and the fields might be short because of this.
Also, maybe the black box is affecting trainers dropping entries into the entry box. Finally, with Northfield's new policy of not allowing entries for those horsemen under appeal, that eliminates the Clabaugh stable right away and perhaps a few others. But Keith would have the inside scoop, right Keith?

The opening of Lebanon did affect us, but the Delaware sale is the biggest problem. We could have carded 13 Monday, but chose to go with twelve to make sure we could get 13 on Tue-Wed. Many OTBS close early on Mondays, so we felt that was the best day to drop a couple races. Should be back to 14 a night for the weekend. And the Robin Miller stable will be racing in full force, although Larry is selling a few and turning out a few others.
