Last night i talked about track condition in my wagers. Was the track soft from thawing?Upon entering the the grandstand,i walked straight outside to look at the track. What did i see?It was not snow that had been plowed a foot or so high on the outer edge of the track. They had taken there heavy equipment and "cut"the top layer off and re-dressed the track.I know some of the management may say it is not so,but when i see this,i expect to see a "MAJOR" track bias.8 horses with the lead at the qtr,won their respective races.6 races, the 1st two out of the gate, were 1-2 at the wire.Haveuhadabashlatley, was the only legit closer all night,an improving horse against a suspect field. So with all this 1st hand info,i saved myself some money on the closer i thought i was going to wager on in the 11th race. The horse,Dreamonbrother.I hung around to watch the 11th to see if i could maybe get some info 4 a future wager. He pulled 1st over coming off the turn to the half, moved up nicely to the half, and then flattened somewhat on the turn going to the 3/4,as they crossed by the timer at the 3/4,that was me,walking out the main entrance, even without the track bias,my choice had no chance against these. So i did get a little info.

scojer , thanks for sharing the report on track condition...it pays to check in person. I wonder if Jimhorseman could give a report to Jay on the Buffalo raceway track condition ,maybe Jay will have to buy swimming flippers for his horses racing...if the 30 foot snowbanks melt quickly !lol

Believer:
You weren't far off in your comment on Buffalo's possible track condition. I live about a half hour north of the racetrack and we had temps in the mid 40's most of the day followed by some early evening rain. South of Buffalo; where Buffalo Raceway is located, is where most of the snow falls due to their location in relation to Lake Erie (the dreaded lake effect snow). We had significant melting and I'm guessing so did Buffalo Raceway. Could be swampy for Punkin tomorrow night who leaves from post 8 in the third race here.
