I thought of something........
When the time changes from DST or back, it throws me off for a few days. I wake up earlier or later, I show up an hour early or late, etc. We force the horses to follow our schedule - jogging, training, racing, feeding.......... Could this be why my picks were ok last week, and really lousy this week?
Just something to think about. Maybe I'll do better on Wednesdays card.
We'll see........

The time change may be a reason for your picks being off , i think i just didn't handicap very well! lol....Horses are funny , some would race anywhere,on ice, snow ,slop,mud....others are fussy about the afternoon racing and seeing their shadow...so it wouldn't surprise me if the first week after the change some are racing half a sleep! lol
Blackwater , we have several caretakers of horses on the board.....maybe one or two could tell you if they think it affects racehorses like it does people.

I would welcome their input! I love horses, especially harness horses, but I'm not much of a horseman. Dad's been in the game his whole life, but I'm just getting started. Let me know if I overstep my bounds with the "pros""? I'm just having fun learning!
